Villas in Cyprus

It's the dream of many to own a villa in Cyprus and while you won't find many villas in the towns and cities, there's no shortage of them in coastal areas of Cyprus as well as in inland locations.
 
Some villas are part of a complex or development and they may share communal gardens and a pool as well as having their own individual plot. Others may be set in a luxurious and exclusive development or far from the madding crowds in its own huge grounds and private pool.

Construction of a Cyprus villa  is usually excellent - they are usually recently built, always pretty spacious and have at least two levels.

So what's the best place to find your dream villa and what will you have to pay for it? Locations which are traditionally popular with holiday home buyers and investors looking for villas are Paphos, Limassol, Famagusta and increasingly, Larnaca.

Villa prices in Paphos are surprisingly reasonable and a three-bedroom detached villa, just 10 minutes from Paphos and close to all main golf courses in Cyprus, costs just under €215,000!

Talking of golf courses, the Aphrodite Hills Golf development contains some of the most exclusive villas in Cyprus and is in an exquisite setting on a ravine above Paphos overlooking the sea. A small two-bedroom villa at Aphrodite Hills will cost around €580,000.

There's a great choice of villas in Limassol and Famagusta, particularly a little inland in the foothills of the Troodos mountains.

One exclusive development of just eight three-bedroom, two-bathroom villas is available in Apsio village. Built in traditional Cypriot style, the villas have optional swimming pools and they cost from just €241,000.

Famagusta has plenty of popular and scenic coastal and inland areas and prices for villas in and around Protaras and Paralimni, the two most popular towns, range in price from around €120,000 for a three-bedroom villa in Frenaros village, just inland from Paralimni to a three-bedroom luxury villa in unspoiled surroundings near Protaras which costs around €300,000. Finally, Larnaca is a very up and coming area and just two lovely settings where you can find some gorgeous villas in Larnaca are the popular village of Oroklini and the select residential area of Ormedia.

There's also a new project in Alethriko village, just south-west of Larnaca which has beautiful sea and mountain views. AVilla here start at just over €200,000.

As you can see,  villas in Cyprus do not have to be expensive, so whether you're on a tight budget or you can afford a little more luxury, rest assured there will be something for you.
