Watery Fun for Kids in Cyprus

Children are welcomed everywhere in Cyprus where they are treated like kings and there are plenty of activities to wear them out so that exhausted parents get a little peace at bedtime. Water Parks are guaranteed to do just that and here are details of the two main water parks in Cyprus. 

If you’re feeling energetic, the Paphos Aphrodite Water Park is a great fun day out for all the family. There’s a wide selection of pools, slides and hair-raising rides for all ages and if you need a well-earned rest after taking the kids on the rides, you’ll find it in the shady areas or one of the water park’s restaurants and cafes.

You’ll find the Aphrodite Water Park at the far eastern end of the Kato Paphos coastal road. Open every day from May until October, it offers the biggest family rafting ride in the world or for the totally fearless, why not try the Free Fall which is an almost a vertical slide!

But if you’re not up to that, rest assured there’s something for everyone, relax in the leisure pool or for smaller children there’s an adventure playground and a miniature Water Park, complete with the Mini Volcano, Pirate Ship, Spraying Elephant and much more. In addition the park is also equipped with disabled facilities.

The Water Park is in the tourist area of Kato Paphos, off Poseidonos Avenue and there’s free transfer on buses from the Old Town and Kato Paphos (No.11) or Coral Bay and Kato Paphos (No.15). Keep your bus ticket and get a refund at the park. Another of Cyprus’ huge water parks can be found in Limassol. The Fasouri Watermania Water Park, offers much the same hair-raising rides as the Paphos Aphrodite Water Park and offers a great fun day out if you’re staying in the Limassol area. It’s conveniently located in the Fasouri area, which is just 15 minutes outside Limassol city centre and 10 minutes off the Limassol-Paphos highway. There’s also a shuttle bus service available from various locations and details can be found on the website -http://www.fasouri-watermania.com. The Water Park is open from 1st May to 31st October, the opening hours are May & October 10:00–17:00 / June to September 10:00–18:00.
