The Paphos area is in the south west of Cyprus and is a perennially popular spot for both holidaymakers and foreign residents, particularly those from the UK.

It has great transport connections with Paphos International Airport, a beautiful coastline and some of the island’s best golf courses are close by.

There are plenty of popular villages close to the town, such as Peyia, now more of suburb of Paphos than a village, Droushia, Chloraka and Emba, to name but a few, and a wide choice of both re-sale and new developments, whether you’re looking for an apartment, townhouse, bungalow or a villa, or want a property in Paphos town, on the golf courses or in any of the beautiful surrounding villages.

• Peyia has both traditional stone houses or beautiful modern apartments and villas and is just a few minutes drive from Coral Bay. Apartments in Peyia start at around €125,000 (GBP 93,000 approx.), with luxury villas costing around €400,000 (just under GBP 300,000).
• What about a bungalow or villa close to the picturesque coastal towns of Polis and Latchi, which start at under €200,000 (less than GBP 150,000)?  
• The traditional Cypriot village of Skoulli is just a short drive away and the Skoulli Hills development has properties in an unrivalled elevated position, commanding views of the surrounding mountains and towards the coast. Three-bedroom luxury bungalows and villas in Skoulli cost around €300,000 (GBP 225,000 approx.).
• Droushia village, about 25 minutes from the centre of Paphos and just 10 minutes from Polis has some beautiful stone villas with private swimming pools, all have unobstructed panoramic sea views and start at under €250,000 (GBP 185,000 approx).
• If golf is your thing, then there are plenty of luxury golf properties in Paphos at the award-winning Aphrodite Hills golf development, not far from Paphos airport and home to some of the most luxurious properties on the island. It’s set high on a hill above Paphos and is built on two sides of a ravine overlooking the sea. Property at Aphrodite Hills starts at around €380,000 (GBP 280,000 approx). As well as residential properties, the Aphrodite Hill development contains a luxury hotel and spa, restaurants and shops.
